Arthur Dekker
Arthur Dekker, born in 1988, is a Belgian designer and craftsman based in Ghent, specializing in carpentry and metalwork. He is known for creating bespoke furniture pieces that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design aesthetics. In addition to his design practice, Dekker is involved in teaching, sharing his expertise with emerging designers and artisans.
Dekker has collaborated with various designers and artists, contributing to conceptual installations and furniture designs. Notably, he worked with designer Theo De Meyer on the installation "Setting up a Cabinet," which explores the concept of order through a unique arrangement of objects.
In the realm of furniture design, Dekker co-designed the 'Mono Tables' with designer Cas Moor for the brand Muundo. These tables exemplify a minimalist approach, focusing on essential forms and functionality.
